A Little Help From My Friends

Sisterhood Newsletter

I feel incredibly lucky to have had close family and friends who have pulled me forward throughout my life. My mother, Dottie Warren, was one of my biggest cheerleaders, along with my husband, Lee. However, when I’m faced with challenges or come to a crossroads, I find myself turning to a group of sisters I’ve gathered over the years.

Many of these friends I’ve met through organizations like Fortune Most Powerful Women, C200 (The Committee of 200), on boards or at speaking events around the country. But my core sisterhood began when I was a student at UT in the Pi Beta Phi sorority. The bonds we formed and the lessons learned in that circle inspired my newest collection of paintings, including this piece titled, Sisterhood. When I’m with my sisters, or when I look at this bold Texas skyscape painting, I know I’m not alone. Their warmth and support comes through and touches my soul.
