During the hot Texas summer days, life seems to slow down. I like to use those less hectic days to plan, dream or recharge and the ranch is the perfect place for just that. It’s also when the Texas Hill Country beckons me to paint as in this tiny beauty from my Jewel Box & Gifts Collection, “Big Sky Beckons.” The layers of blue in the sky against the green countryside with hints of yellow wildflowers called to me one evening and I rushed to my canvas.
