There are moments in life you wish you could hold onto forever, and this was one of them. Watching my daughter stroll along the shoreline of Mnemba Island, with the crystal-blue waters of the Indian Ocean gently meeting the sand, I knew I wanted to preserve that feeling on canvas. Towering overhead were big, billowing clouds painted in rich shades of deep blue, casting dramatic light across the water and creating a scene that was both peaceful and powerful.
As an artist, I am always drawn to the way light transforms a landscape, but what made this moment unforgettable was not just the beauty of the place—it was sharing it with someone I love. This painting captures that quiet walk, the endless horizon and the joy of discovering the world together. Every time I look at Beach Girl, I am reminded that some of life’s greatest treasures are not the places we visit, but the memories we make there.
