I’ve had to rise early plenty of times for business, but I’ll admit, I don’t really fire on all cylinders until later in the morning. The saying “the early bird gets the worm” is true enough, yet I never thought it would apply to my art.
This piece, titled Angel of the Morning happened by sheer luck. I was awake before sunrise, saw the sky catch fire in saffron and rose, and knew I had to capture it. I may not be a natural morning person, but that quiet, glowing moment made every sleepy yawn worth it.
