The first thing that captured my attention when painting this landscape was the endless conversation between the sky and the sea, each borrowing the other’s colors until the horizon seemed to disappear. Shades of teal, turquoise and seafoam green stretch across the horizon, blending together in a peaceful rhythm that feels infinite. Near the bottom of the canvas, the sun peeks through, casting soft pinks and purples that dance across layers of clouds. A narrow break in the sky reveals a sliver of pale pink light, embraced by horizontal bands of deeper blues, violets and rosy hues that seem to glow from within.
As I painted, I felt as though the water itself was calling me closer, inviting me to step into its quiet embrace and leave the world behind for just a little while. That feeling inspired the name Crystal Blue Persuasion, a reminder that sometimes nature doesn’t have to shout to capture our hearts. Sometimes it simply whispers, and if we’re willing to listen, we’re drawn in by its beauty.
