There’s something about the ocean that draws me in. The sound of the waves rolling in and out, the smell of salt water and the view — miles and miles of crystal blue above and below the horizon — it takes my breath away.
After another cherished trip to the Caribbean, I decided to preserve those memories in a series of paintings. That way, my vacation never really ends. Framed in a broad white frame, I lovingly named this piece “That Happy Place” because it lifts my spirits every time I glance at it. If I look closely, I can picture my toes in the sea foam at the shore.
