As a rancher, you grow to appreciate reliability. Challenges like drought and unwanted critters become as reliable as a good friend who has your back, ‘come rain or shine,’ as I named this painting.
I painted this piece one evening, as we watched a big storm roll into the hill country. We always welcome rain and this ominous but hopeful sky begged to be captured on canvas.
