While watching football is one of my favorite pastimes, I also enjoy basketball, and March is the month to watch hoop dreams come true. There’s nothing better than gathering my ranch dogs to watch a spirited NCAA basketball tournament.
Hence the name of this painting, “March Madness.” After a late night of basketball games, I ventured into my studio only to discover that the moon had filled the sky and ground below with a royal blue glow. Thankfully, I had my trio of watchdogs by my side. I love how dark and mysterious this piece turned out.
