Painting on small canvases has become a passion of mine and the ultimate exercise in ‘ruthless prioritization.’ One wrong brushstroke can mean starting over completely. As with my professional to-do list, I begin with the most important details first and layer in the rest.
On the day I painted this piece, a rainbow of colors danced across the layers of clouds filling the sky. The textured, colorful, billowing clouds seem to bounce off the canvas, enhanced by metallic paints that make this piece glow.
