The beautiful part about painting skyscapes is that every sky is different and I never know what mood I’ll capture as I paint. Many people have asked if this painting is an abstract take on the American flag. That wasn’t the intention, but perhaps mother nature felt patriotic on this day. I know I feel the spirit of being a proud American as I gaze upon the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.
