I’ve been asked why so many of my paintings are named after songs or lyrics and that’s because my stereo is always blasting when I paint. The music opens my mind and lets my soul come through on the canvas.
This painting of a night sky with the moon beaming down below reminds me of my parents, who loved to dance to Frank Sinatra. Who can resist Frank’s silky smooth voice in his classic tune, “Fly Me to the Moon?” It was almost as if this sky painted itself one night as I thought of my dad beaming down on me.
Featured painting: Let Me Play Among the Stars, 14×11 inches, acrylic on canvas.
