Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy working with men and benefit greatly from the many co-ed boards and organizations I’m part of. Diversity of thought means all viewpoints are needed to achieve success.
However, there is something unique about women supporting women. We’ve seen this in the career advancements made as a result from our “Women Who Mean Business” program. When like-minded individuals work together, anything is possible.
This strength in numbers was on my mind when I painted this small but impactful painting entitled “Sisterhood.” As I layered each shade one at a time, each brushstroke was important to capture the depth, texture and complexity of the vivid sky. It’s another example of the endless possibilities that can be achieved when working together.
