As I wrote the opening letter for this newsletter, I reflected on one of the most powerful lessons shared in both our new Texas Trailblazers leadership program and Women Who Mean Business. While each focuses on different topics, both give participants a huge boost of confidence. Having the tools to succeed and opportunities to dance in the sun are essential at every stage of a career.
That thought brought me to this painting, “Sun Dance.” The name came from the intense sun prancing across the sky and my canvas, while the royal blue sky set the stage for the sun to perform beautifully. Sometimes, when I finish a painting, it feels so special that it deserves a frame just as unique. For this piece, I chose a subtle, understated frame that allows the artwork to leap out and capture your attention.
