Some mornings, the sky seems less like a landscape and more like a work of art already painted by nature. As I watched this sunrise unfold, layers of brilliant oranges, yellows, blues and greens stretched across the horizon like handwoven fabric, each color blending into the next while still holding its own. The bands of color wrapped around the sky with such richness and movement that I couldn’t help but think of a traditional Mexican serape.
That feeling stayed with me as I painted Serape Sunrise. The colors seemed to weave themselves together, enveloping me in warmth, comfort and joy. It’s a reminder that the most beautiful moments are often created when many vibrant pieces come together as one, each adding its own unique beauty to the whole.
