As a rancher, there’s nothing better than a good rain and we’ve been lucky to see showers recently. It reminded me of the timeless saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” This phrase is often traced back to a short poem by English poet Thomas Tusser in his 1557 collection, “A Hundred Good Points of Husbandry.”
During this particular April shower, I captured a bolt of lighting that danced across the sky, which made me think of Benjamin Franklin’s famous kite-in-a-thunderstorm experiment. Charged with that same energy, I lovingly named this painting “Juiced Kite.”
